- A route between sky and water: The trail hugs the lake shore, offering ever-changing vistas across the water. You will alternate between wooden boardwalks, shaded forest paths, and wildflower meadows.
- The Bütgenbach Viaduct: One of the walk’s key highlights is passing close to the impressive viaduct of the famous former railway line « Vennbahn » – a striking historical landmark nestled in the valley.
- Protected flora and fauna: As you cross marshy areas on wooden boardwalks, you’ll have the opportunity to observe the unique biodiversity of the Belgian Eifel and High Fens.
- Accessibility and comfort: Despite its wild feel, the path is very well maintained and clearly signposted. It is ideal for an active hike or a leisure stroll, featuring plenty of scenic picnic spots right by the water.
